Morning Tips for Spring
Some basic principles in Ayurveda to fight against an excess of Kapha, the Dosha of spring:
First of all, get up early : in Brahma time (period between 1H30 and 30 mn before the sunrise).
Set up the ritucharya: the Ayurvedic routine for this season (mouthwash, tonguewash, Jala Neti, oil massage according to one's Dosha...).
Do some asanas and pranayamas.
Take a cup of hot water with lemon or ginger... according to one's Dosha.
Have a warm, light breakfast.
In general, avoid cold meals and reduce sugar, dairy...
Consume pungent, astringent or bitter spices like turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, pepper...
Drink spicy infusions.
