SVADHISTHANA
Means "the Seat of the Self" in Sanskrit.
This chakra is located at the sacrum and coccyx.
Its element is Water, and its sense is taste.
Its color is orange. This chakra is represented as a wheel having six petals with a crescent moon inside.
The mantra of this chakra is 'vam'. There are six other syllables associated with each petal of this wheel: bam, bham, mam, yam, ram, lam.
This chakra is located just below the navel, it is the center of emotions, sexual energies and creative forces. It is related to the reproductive organs, the ovaries of women, the urinary tract and the kidneys.
Its dhatu is blood (dhatu that carries oxygen to the various tissues and organs).
In imbalance, this energy center is the source of capriciousness, feverishness, great emotionality, but also to dysfunctions related to inhibition, impotence, or the need to control everything.
In balance, it is the source of a certain kindness, a good relational, an adaptability to changes, a flexible mind. This chakra is the chakra of desires.
